Chances are there that some of the WordPress themes would not implement most of the template files while other may use the conditional tag to just load the various template files. Most of the time the WordPress would use the Query String function to contain the information present in each of the link of the website and then it would help in deciding which template or the various kinds of template would be used for showing the page.

Clean Image Filename in WordPress

Enforce Clean Image FilenamesThe first and foremost step is to match each of the WordPress features with the Query String to the given query types. So, it means that the decision would be taken on what particular kind of page like category page, search page, etc. would be used. Once that is done, then the templates are selected and after that the web page contents are created. This is done as per the given order suggested by the template of WordPress which gradually depends on what kind of template is there in that WordPress theme.

Now the WordPress will be looking out for those templates which have specific or unique names present in the given theme directory. Once that is done, then the first matching or the similar file will be shown under the selected query choice. So, with the exception of the basic index related php template file the developer has the choice to select what particular template files have to be implemented or not.

In case if the WordPress is unable to find the given matching template file, then it would simply skip to the next given file name present in the hierarchy.

The first thing for the successful use of the Filename features is to install and then activate the plugin of the Clean Image Filename. Now once the activation is done, then one has to go to the Media option and click on the ‘Add New’ option and then you could try to upload the file with characters. But the given plugins cannot automatically make amends to the old images. They could easily filter the titles of the image after the image gets uploaded.

Now once the given plugin is installed, then you won’t need to worry about the various kinds of different image filenames. It is quite important to keep in mind that the plugins would not get fixed for those images which have been simply just installed. It would mean that you would either have to redo or go to the previous step or do all the things again.

Moving forward it is important that as and when you upload an image especially with a name, and then you cannot simply consider it as a filename as the given plugin would not automatically install and filter out the worst and bad characters.
